Handmade applewood coffee table with black resin fill.
The slab had soft, open areas and natural voids, which I’ve filled with resin rather than cutting away. It keeps the original shape of the timber while giving it strength and a clean outline.
The colour shifts from creamy white through reds and browns, with the dark resin following the natural lines of the wood. Straight edges keep it practical and easy to place in a room, while still keeping a bit of waney edge where it makes sense.
Finished in a matt coat so the grain does the talking.
Made to be lived with — solid, simple and hard wearing.
